Hagler Okorie, flag of 2020 revenue year in Bende LGA, charge team to be committed.
Speaking during the flag of ceremony held today in his office, the Chairman noted that the Revenue indicis of the council have changed unlike how it use to be in the past.
"We did not contract, there is no contractor that come here, the letters we got for contracts were all rejected because we believe that our staff have the capacity, the wisdom and all that it takes to get our Revenue by ourselves" he said.
He pleaded with the team not to betray the trust reposed in them.
"This is a test case for you people to know weather indeed we can do this job by ourselves and i want to please pray you, i want to beg you please not to disappoint"
Dr Okorie futher informed that the council have constituted a Revenue Court to prosecute Revenue defaults and said the Revenue Team has all it takes to succeed.
"we Will be on your neck at every point in time, we must raise our IGR, your welfare will be adequately taken care of, don't steal from us, if you do, the hunter will become the hunted" he added.
Responding, The Revenue officer for Bende Local Government council Mr Ukanwa Donatus on behalf of the Revenue Team Promised to actualize the projections of The TC Chairman as it concerns IGR.
The Deputy Transition Committee Chairman Mr John Mark, The Head of Service Chief Chidi Oliver Eme, The Secretary to the Council Pastor Mrs Ebere Onu, The Treasure Chief Godwin Akwada, The Head of Legal unit Mrs Mercy Eme, Heads of Departments and Staff of the Council were present during the flag of.
