2023: THE METAMORPHOSIS OF MEDIA TRIAL IN ABIA STATE. > QUICK REPORTS.
By Comr. Augustine Akomas.
It's obvious that the journey of 2023 has started with audio trial which is a tool for distraction to some targeted persons perceived to have ambition for the number one seat in Abia State.
Opposition is part and parcel of development in a democratic system of government, and should be played with all available tools, ranging from propaganda to unfounded allegations.
Some People are of the opinion that, Engr. Chinedum Orji, the Speaker Abia State house of Assembly has intentions to contest for Abia governorship seat come 2023, perhaps, because of his excellent performances in the Abia State house of Assembly.
They now see him as a threat, thereby coming up with unassailable petition with the aim of distracting him.
To be honest, if I'm in the radar of those of them in the Opposing camps, I will equally do same thing, because politics is a game of interest, despite the fact that what they have drafted down in their unfounded petition are total falsehood.
Today it's Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Orji, Mr. Speaker, tomorrow it may be someone else from Abia North or South - that is the beauty of Politics.
It's also an avenue to test the capacity of those that have unique record in leadership and governance.
Even Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu's capacity was tested through several and limitless litigations at the various electoral courts in Nigeria, and he surmounted his opponents as the authentic Governor of Abia State.
Very soon, you will start hearing that a particular governorship aspirant, is not from Abia State, that his father is from Calabar, the mother, from Ohafia or Ibeku or Isiala Ngwa South, North or Osisoma, that is the strategy of politics.
Don't you know that, believing that, a particular family diverted 515 billion, is like, believing that devil is now God and vice versa.
The fear of Ikuku, is the beginning of Media trial and Petitions, now he has made it obvious that it's morally wrong for him to run for Governor in 2023. Instead of all these unfounded media trials, let's channel our strength to something meaningful.
Above all let's not allow sentiments to becloud our sense of good judgement.
