Allegations Of Blackmail: Dimiri Refutes Claim By Abia Legislator




Mr. Friday Dimiri, Chairman Ekeoha Shopping Centre, has described as untrue the allegation by the Member Representing Aba South in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Obinna Ichita of attempts by one Ahukanna Maduabughichi to blackmail him for refusing to meet with him.

Reacting to the claims of blackmail, which was published in a leading online website in the South-East, Dimiri, said there was never a time he approached Aukanna Maduabughichi to schedule a meeting between himself and the state lawmaker, alleging that his claim of blackmail is a ploy to paint him black and rubbish his name in front of other members of the Assembly.

Dimiri, reiterated that he never asked anyone to arrange or negotiate for him, wondering why he would think of such move having already gone to the House of Assembly after he was summoned to answer questions regarding petition written to the House bothering on allegations against him and the Commissioner for Trade and Investment Rt. Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe (PhD).

Dimiri who also revealed that he had always believed in carrying out  proper investigation to find out the true position of things, added that allegations like this coming from a serving lawmaker in the state, is capable of causing a breach of peace in the state as well as push one against each other.
