Ndiolumbe Community in Isiala Ngwa South LGA of Abia State, on Thursday morning came on the spotlight once again as a young man was caught with a short gun.
The young man who gave his name as Emeka Onome from Delta State but does his business in Ndiolumbe, in his confessional statement, said one Alaghonu of Ndiolumbe village, gave him the Awka made locally made pistol as collateral to treat himself of an ailment.
Onome a father of three, said Alaghonu came to his house on Wednesday night and begged him to lend him some money to take care of his health, as he has health challenge, informing that out of compassion,he gave Alaghonu the sum of N5000.
When newsbuka.com, visited the scene, Onome was being interrogated by the youth of Ndiolumbe, who narrated the incident, pointing out that he was fighting with an indigene of Ndiolumbe and in the process, Onome’s little boy playfully came out with the gun from the room, which attracted their attention.
As at the time of filling in the report, youth of Ndiolumbe Community, had taken Emeka Onome to Omoba Divisional Police Station while Alaghonu is at large.
