The Traffic And Indiscipline Management Agency Of Abia State (TIMAAS) under the able leadership of Comdr Bright C. Ikeokwu condemn in it's entirety the fracas that took place in Umuahia Involving our officers and men in our UMUAHIA COMMAND.
The GM has met with the leadership of the three tricycle Unions with the aim of resolving the issues.
Security Agencies has been notified to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly acts are apprehended. All are asked to go about their normal businesses and obey the directives of the government as regard the COVID-19 Prevention.

It has also come to the notice of Traffic And Indiscipline Management Agency Of Abia State (TIMAAS) that some unscrupulous elements are operating and extorting money from the public with the name of the Agency.
They are not staff of TIMAAS.

TIMAAS is one of the agencies of the Abia State Government Established under the laws of the state. The Agency has staff that are disciplined, well trained and are carrying out their duties with the utmost professionalism.

The Agency is by this release notifying the good people of the state that the staff of TIMAAS are dressed in YELLOW AND BLACK uniform with TIMAAS Inscription on it and a name tag.
Anyone operating without this uniform is not working for the Agency and should be arrested.
The Agency does not tolerate any form of bribe taking on the road or anywhere else. Anyone seen collecting bribe with the name of TIMAAS should be reported or arrested immediately.

The Agency has never and will never send anyone to collect money from the people on behalf of TIMAAS.

This morning, two staff of the Agency were reported and one of them found culpable was sent on an indefinite suspension by the General Manager, Comdr Bright C. Ikeokwu and ordered for the unconditional release of the vehicle involved.
Comdr, Ikeokwu warned that henceforth, any officer caught taking bribe or involved in any unprofessional conduct while carrying out his official assignment will be dismissed.

Furthermore, the activities of some hoodlums operating around Opopo junction area of Aba with the name of TIMAAS has been drawn to the attention of the Agency, very soon they will be apprehended and prosecuted.
The public are hereby called upon to help the Agency fish out these bad eggs by reporting to the number provided above or to any nearby police station for immediate action.
