Our workers are upto date with salary payment
We contribute our own quota to the increase in IGR.
ABSAA MD has described the Agency achievements within three to four years now as an act of dedication and commitment.
The MD stated this during an interactive section with our correspondent in his office, he said that with the help of the Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, the Agency has been able to change the face of outdoor advertisement in the state from what it was before the coming of the Ikpeazu Administration.
He said “Before the Ikpeazu Administration, no regulatory agency/body for signage, no revenue was generated through signage but with the law No. 9 of 2012 founded through House of Assembly under the Administration of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, which brought ABSAA into being, you can’t see poster and billboards flying everywhere like it used to be before, now there are laws guiding the outdoor Advertisement in the state, it didn’t stop there. We have also beautified some areas in Aba and Umuahia, mostly areas that have to do with signage, we have also moved ahead to beautify entry point into the state, we also followed the footstep of the Governor in championing the campaign for “Made in Aba” through mounting of billboards and banners, we also moved into partnership with Zenith bank to mount road directions and beautifications of roundabouts in the state, provision of traffic boxes for police etc.
It is on record that since the creation of this Agency, our staff have been upto date with Salary payment. We pay salaries between 25th to 27th of every month. The Agency has done very well and is a big plus to the state and will do better, he stated”
He advised Abians to make good use of the covid-19 community testing that is going on in the state to know their covid-19 status.
