BENDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BEGINS GRADING OF RURAL ROADS.

The Transition Committee Chairman for Bende Local Government Area Dr Hagler Okorie has flagged off the grading of roads in the rural communities in Bende Local Government Area.

Speaking during the flag off at Umuede Agboiyi in Nkpa Community on Thursday 23 Jan 2020, The TC Chairman represented by his Deputy Mr John Mark said his administration is very committed to ensure that aĺl ongoing projects in different parts of Bende Local Government Area, especially the Ozuitem water scheme and the Amorji bridge are completed in line with the directives of Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu, Dr Okorie said the grading of the rural roads will enable farmers access their farms which in turn will lead to higher productivity and promised that the grader will reach many communities in Bende Local Government Area.

Responding, the Chairman of Umuede Agboiyi community Engr Chikezie Onwunema expressed gratitude to the Abia State Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD for appointing their Son Mr John Mark the Deputy Transition Committee Chairman for Bende Local Government Area, He thanked the TC Chairman Dr Hagler Okorie for bringing grader to their community something he said they have not experienced in the last 20yrs, and pledged their continuing support to the administration of Governor Ikpeazu and Dr Hagler Okorie.

The Head of Works Department for Bende Local Government Area Mrs Ugochi Ojeh and other staff of the council were present during the flag off.
