COMPLETE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THESE ROADS BEFORE THE RAIN STARTS. BARR. BOB CHIEDOZIE AGU, COMMISSIONER FOR WORKS.

The Honourable Commissioner for Works Abia State, Barr Bob Chiedozie Ogu has charged the contractors handling the construction of Eziukwu road and Osusu road to speed up and complete the construction of these roads before the rainy season commences.

The Commissioner stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit to these sites to see the progress of work done by the contractors.
He frowned at the slow pace of work and mandated the contractors to speed up the work to enable them deliver it as scheduled.

According to the commissioner, Governor Ikpeazu wants these roads to be completed and handed over to the government before the end of the first quarter of the year.

On his part, the site engineer handling Eziukwu road who was on site when the commissioner visited, told him that the laying of rigid pavement will start by next week as all their materials for the work is ready while his Osusu counterpart promised that they will soon complete the ongoing rigid pavement on Osusu road and immediately commence asphalting work on the road.
