CONTRACTOR MOBILISED TO SITE FOR POWER ENHANCEMENT AT UPPER UMUYE, IHECHIOWA, Hon. Uko Nkole.

Today, Tuesday, 14th January, 2020, Engr. Adeleye Mathew's lead teams from the Rural Electrification Project and the contractor handling the Power Enhancement project for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency under the 2019 FG Capital Projects were mobilised to site for onward commencement.

Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole, member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal  Constituency , the project sponsor delegated Hon. Onyema Ogbuagu, Deputy Transition Committee Chairman of Arochukwu LGA to lead both teams from  REA and the  contractor, Messrs Abowa Company limited represented by Engineer Samuel Orji to one of the project sites in Upper Umuye in Arochukwu LGA.

According to the team, the project work is to commence on Tuesday 21/01/2020 and is expected  to be delivered  two weeks from the said  date .

Recall that Hon. Uko Nkole as represented by Hon. Emmanuel Awah,  then Deputy Transitional Chairman of Arochukwu had earlier on the  25th June, 2019 led a team of REA Engineers for site  inspection visit in preparation for the project design and BEME in  preparation for the implementation of the projects as attracted in his 2019 FG capital project captured as  Power Enhancement for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.

The project scope entails Power Enhancement in Upper Ihechiowa in Arochukwu LGA with the Provision of 300kva Transformer, 17 high and 7 low tension poles which is inline with the appeal made by the communities during the constituency visits and interactions by the federal lawmaker to get first hand information on areas of special needs and for the purpose of attracting  FG quick attentions to solving them.

Also, note that the contractor handling similar project of Extension of Electricity in Ahuma Abam in Arochukwu LGA has commenced work.

Chief S. U. Okechukwu, President General, Umuye Community Development Union; Eld. Anthony Obasi, the Secretary of the Union; the Palace Secretary, Chief Kalu among other Elders of the Community speaking while receiving the team of Engineers and the  contact person to Hon Nkole , Hon. Onyema Ogbuagu, expressed deep appreciation to Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole for attracting the project and being the first Politician to remember the community. He enthusiastically assured  a maximum cooperation and security to the site Engineers for the actualization of the project.

Rt. Hon. Nkole also assured the Union,  Ezeogo cabinet members and the community leaders  through Hon. Onyema Ogbuagu, who represented him that the project is estimated to be delivered within two weeks in line with the Terms of the contract and admonished them to give the contractors maximum cooperation and support.
