PRESS RELEASE - PAYMENT OF MONEY TO TASK FORCE ON ENFORCEMENT OF REMOVAL OF STREET TRADERS ILLEGAL
The government has observed with dismay, series of complaints by members of the public particularly traders and landlords affected by the order to dismantle projections in houses that aid street trading in Umuahia and ABA
Government wishes to reiterate that nobody or house violating this order is exempted. Again, no levy or fine of any sort has been approved for violators. At this time, government is determined to ensure strict compliance with it's directive that those wishing to trade should relocate to Ubani - Ibeku Market, Ariaria or other designated markets .
No persons, not even members of the task force are authorized to. collect money from any person. Government will remove any projections or such structures in a church, mosque or house that violate this non trading post order.
So, you are please warned to resist the temptation of giving any person or group money to allow illegality .
